Yo-Yo Ma performs the world premiere of A Happy Excursion, a concerto by Zhao Lin, this October. In Hangzhou and Beijing, he joins pipa player Wu Man, conductor Long Yu, and the Hangzhou Philharmonic for this new double concerto for cello and pipa.
Following appearances with Silkroad in Seoul and Taipei, Yo-Yo takes the stage at the Hangzhou Grand Theater on October 24 and the Beijing Music Festival on October 26 for performances featuring the new concerto.
