Young fans of the Silk Road Ensemble

Sisters Caroline and Anna Workman had a wonderful introduction to the music of the Silk Road Ensemble and are its newest fans! After the Boston performance in March 2009 the sisters got to meet Mr. Ma backstage. Caroline (9) made an origami crane mobile for Mr. Ma as part of a project to fold 1000 paper cranes to make a wish come true. Her wish is for a safe and violence-free world for Asian families and communities. Anna and Caroline’s mom is the head of the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence in Massachusetts.
