On Yo-Yo Ma’s new album Songs of Joy & Peace, he had the opportunity to collaborate with a remarkable group of friends. In that spirit, he has partnered with Indaba Music and is inviting experienced musicians and amateurs alike to join him in pushing the boundaries of music creation by entering his contest, Celebrate & Collaborate.
About The Contest:•Yo-Yo Ma has recorded the melody of Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Us Peace), a track from his album Songs of Joy & Peace. From October 7th to December 31 the music can be downloaded by entrants and used to make creative variations of the track.
• As entries are received the Indaba Music community will vote for their favorites.
• From the top entries Yo-Yo Ma will personally choose the winner of the contest and will offer them the opportunity to record with him.
• The contest will be hosted on IndabaMusic.com/yo-yomacontest
