Benefit Concert on January 31st, 7:30-8:30 Nichols Hall Music Institute of Chicago Evanston

Hello Mr. Ma,

I am Emelia Suljic. I am a junior at New Trier High School (in the suburbs of Chicago). You were kind enough to send me an autographed picture congratulating me on the success of the two benefit concerts I organized in 2012 and 2013.

I am writing to let you know about the third annual concert on January 31st at Nichols Hall (1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, IL). The concert starts at 7:30. All proceeds are donated to the Music Institute of Chicago's Arts Link (their community outreach group) for the creation of music programs for underprivileged children in Chicago.

Due to our efforts, we have raised more than $10,000 and supported the creation of three music programs at LEARN Charter School campuses. We chose January 31st because we knew you are in town for your concert. We originally saw only the January 30th concert on your website and so we scheduled the concert for the 31st, hoping you might be able to come to our concert on the 31st! I know you are very busy, but it was worth a try!

The performers are members of the New Trier Symphony and concert choir. I am so honored that these amazing performers agree to share their talent for such an important cause.

I am not sure if you are able to attend our concert or help us in any way to ensure its continued success, but I we know this is a cause that is important to you as well. We appreciate whatever help you can offer us!

We are including a silent auction this year and we think this will raise significantly more funds for the music programs. As I mentioned earlier, our first two concerts raised over $10,000.

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with all of us and being an inspiration to us as well!!

Sincerely,

Emelia Suljic
